What is HP TET?
HP TET is conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) to check the eligibility of candidates for teaching posts in primary and upper primary schools. The exam is held for different subjects like TGT (Arts, Medical, Non-Medical), JBT, Punjabi, Urdu, and LT.

HP TET Eligibility Criteria
Before applying, check if you meet the eligibility conditions:
1️⃣ Educational Qualification
- JBT TET (D.El.Ed.) – 10+2 with 50% + 2-year D.El.Ed.
- TGT (Arts) – B.A./B.Com + B.Ed.
- TGT (Medical) – B.Sc. (Medical) + B.Ed.
- TGT (Non-Medical) – B.Sc. (Non-Medical) + B.Ed.
- Shastri TET – Shastri degree from a recognized institution
- Language Teachers (Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Sanskrit) – Graduation + B.Ed.
2️⃣ Age Limit
No upper age limit. Candidates of all age groups can apply.
HP TET 2024 Exam Pattern
- The exam consists of 150 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs).
- Each question carries 1 mark and there is no negative marking.
- The total time duration is 2.5 hours.
